Good job Jel. As usual, some useful tips for those who haven't pinned down their favorite hunting spots yet. I always like it, 'til you mention my spots!
Respectfully,
Ufish

I would have done a heck of a lot better for moose and bear and deer and grouse if I would have listened to the Looky louey's scrollz.
---.. looky here, just east of Barriere, access from Barriere, go up the Barriere River east to the roads radiating past North, East, and South Barriere Lakes, you want moose ? Of course, this is good moose hunting country, heavily hunted.
...and then theres the Chu Chua road running north from Barriere to Blackpool, has some real good spots in the ridges above the road, best during late season snows ... muley's and moose east of Barriere --
Take a pre season Looky
J/Pretzellzz -- going with looky's scrolls to Yahk River next -- Moyie coming soon -- > wow < --

I never would have thought you one to skirt a direct question Jel.
Leaving big holes in your answers. Jelly Donut.
Dancing around the subject. Jelly Dancing
Changing the subject. ChangJeling (http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon11.gif...that ones a stretch)

But I'll respect your choice to remain private about that kind of thing.

Looky kept notes from every outing, hunting, fishing, hiking, shed hunting, trail making, sight seeing, gold panning, trapping and scouting. Only put down honest to goodness information provided by himself and others in important positions in field research, he new bio's and information and education folks that loved the out of doors and hunting. Looky knew a game warden too.
Main access roads with enough detail to help a newbie and average hunter into worthwhile spots and helps with species availability so you can plan this coming seasons hunt and decide your pick for leh success.
Looky said, if you want to hunt in region 2 the Lower Mainland, try excellent waterfowl shootin in the Fraser foreshore marshes or join a club and shoot in some fields. Hey you can hunt deer, bear and some goat.
Deer hunting improves as you go into the Lillooet area or up the coast.
Go up the road of the Upper Lillooet River from Pemberton, north west of North and South creeks hits the road south from Gold Bridge.
Looky's lost scrolls --
One or two more sentences from looky's notes
--- Osoyoos to Skaha lake, mainly east side. Along the eastside, good whitetail and mule deer reached from Hwy 3, on Anarchist Mountain 13 km, north out of Osoyoos at the summit it meets up with Camp-McKinney-Mt Baldy ski area roads.
Big Looey later

Sounds like Looky knows Pemberton deer hunitng pretty good!

I looky forward to reading this thread everyday. I have only been hunting a few years but I can say from personal experience that several of the spots you have mentioned so far are good hunting spots. Thanks for giving us newbie hunters some direction instead of giving us the gears like most guys on this site. Merry Christmas.
