Fish Mounts?????

I am wondering if anyone can tell me a rough cost to get a replica done of a 30lb chinook? no background habitat stuff. just something I can hang on my wall?

Also can anyone recomend a taxidermist to get this done?

I am not sure about cost but Ganders taxidermy in beautiful Surrey B.C are probably the best around and have a quick turnover time.

$20/inch for a reproduction. from most shops i guess.......

IMO, I'd go with a real skin mount (personal flavour).... I know that Ray Weins (Mainland Hunter) doesn't do them (on my last check) but you should call him for a recommendation.

a freind of mine had his kids first spring done a couple yrs ago. 46 lb. vedder river spring, and I'm pretty sure he said it was around $250

I got a replica done of a 52 lb spring. Got it done by advanced taxidermy. They are world renowned. Awesome work check out there website. I paid 900 delivered to my door from Ontario. I don't like the Skin mounts. I've seen lots. They shrink Alot. And they never last as long. And truth be told they are about 50% replica anyways. I hope this helps.

talk to Ganders. The lodge where I worked got all mounts done through them. 5 years ago the cost was around 600 I think. They look real good. All you need is the measurements of the fish. Fiberglass mounts are way better than the real thing in my opinion.
