on tuesday decided we would go out for buddies goat last weekend, started out hiking up the mountain on friday afternoon until dark then found the flatest spot we could and set up camp which was not flat enough to set up a tent so we set a couple logs at our feet as to not slide of our mats down the hill, woke up bright and early and started hiking through the timber looking for a goat we spent about 5 solid hours hiking bench to bench folowing goat tracks from early morning or late night befor, never found one saturday so back to camp still at the original camp woke up to a wonder minus 14 degrees so we got a slow start trying to warm up befor packing up camp. headed out for the truck sunday but decided we would zigzag our way down hoping to come across something on the way down but nothing but tracks again. we made it off the mountain with out anything but had a fun adventure in the mountains.

That country looks familiar! Tough time to hunt goats for many reasons but sounds like you've got what it takes. What kind of bag did you sleep in? It got pretty chilly come Sunday morning and the wind really picked up overnight . . . at least in town.

That was a miserable hunt at this time of the year ,no fun staying under a tarp when it is -14c :icon_frow.
You two got out there in the mountains and tried to fill that goat tag and I give you credit for doing so http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif.
