Well Im really kicking myself for selling my Hoyt before moving down to Victoria as I now have the itch to start shooting again and get ready for next season.. Was wondering how many archers there are down here in the Victoria/Sooke area and if there is a decent archery club around that doesnt cost a fortune to get myself tuned up? Also before I can do that I guess I need to buy myself some new gear (wife is gonna kill me) but oh well... lol Was thinking another hoyt or a bowtech.... Where is a good shop close by with decent selection and prices.. I cant afford to spend a fortune!

Go speak to Steve at Island outfitters. Wholesale might or might not have what you need.

Fish and Game club up at the top of the Malahat (Holker Rd) is the only club in town now. Vic Bowmen has closed down.

Cowichan Bowmen in Duncan is another alternative.

As for equipment, Island Outlaws is about the only game in town - has a reputation for beiong pricey though.

Blacktail Outdoors is another shop - it's in Ladysmith - but they're only open on Thurs. nite, Fri. nite, and Saturdays. Best to phone ahead @ 250-709-4181.

Good luck and welcome back to where you were.

Thanks for all the tips guys... I might even see if I can find myself a good used setup to try and save a bit of money... What are your thoughts on PSE bows... Ive never had one myself.. I started out shooting a recurve when I was 8, then my first compound was a browning which I Shot for yrs... Then moved up to a Hoyt which I loved but am so kicking myself for selling!!! grrrrrr.

Nothing wrong with a PSE - I shot the X Bow, fast accurate and dependable. 1 pin all the way out to 40 yards does it for me
