Here are a couple of bucks that were taken this year by some locals who are not on HBC....the Whitetail I know for sure was taken in the local area, not sure about the Mulie being taken locally, but the fellow who took him is a local. The guy who took the whitetail, also took another large 4 point last year from the same general area, same gene pool i guess.
Enjoy...

Local is an irrelevant description when your location is 'everywhere'
Looks like farm bucks to me, but nice none the less, esp the mulie.

I've never caped an animal for a mount. do you need to cut them that far back?

Yeap, usually right around the middle to ensure the taxidermist has plenty of hide to work with..:)

I'd say the mule deer has a 140 typical frame with extra junk to make it a non-typical and would come out as a 170 non typical or so
why
not very wide about 23 inches or so guessing by ear width and the benefit
not symertrical enuff for large score.
tines are on the short side.
Jel -- young buck with another two years to go for the book -- 3 + 1/2 year old - decent ma$$ too -

Are you Daft? Where do you see 30" of trash on that buck

I'd say that buck has a 160 - 165 mainframe thanks to some good G4's and Terrific mass. Add about 15" of trash that I can see and you got a Gross Non-Typical 175 - 180" buck give or take a couple inches.

Looks like a little brother to the one Mark shot.
