Next season WILL be the grizzly success..only reason you DIDNT connect on your G bear was you are a sportsman..no small, no rubbed bears were shot...to get the big and the BEST you have to be able to eat a tag..

There are at least 7 folks I know of on this forum that have been to Africa on at least one occassion....4 of them this year. (& that doesn't include the guys that used to live there) There's probably a few more I don't know of.

This, however, is why most don't bother to share the photos.

it works year round. keeps them interested. i also like walking with them. if i go through brush that i know is going to be noisey i just rack the paddles while walking and i have walked up within ten yards on moose and deer. plus by the pic i woud say yeah it worked:mrgreen::mrgreen:

SHEESH although I am jealous of BIGBORE14 ..he in fact makes a "very very good living " but works damn hard to do so..He in FACT did do ALL that is represented in those photos..AND he is one of THE HARDEST WORKING HUNTERS YOU WILL FIND PERIOD!

As for honesty he is beyond reproach, PERIOD..he is honest..

I have been to David and his lovely wifes home with my wife, and also hunted several times with David..it has ALWAYS been my privilege an honor to do so. I was also along for Davids Grizzly hunt last spring with his brother Rob, both are gentlemen and men of their word.

I can understand jealousy..I would love to do what Dave does but thats not my place in life...Paramedics wages well ...just dont equal Daves..lol

however David is a genuine and generous man..in many many ways..


JEEEZE guys it makes it difficult to post anything here when someone always wants to take a run at you..

I can't speak for bigbore, but I request that we eat nothing but wild game for the main courses. They have always accomodated, and probably prefer it that way. I have tried everything that I've hunted there, and its all been fantastic (warthog and guinea fowl can both be a little chewy though). It is some of the best game meat I've ever tasted overall, especially eland and buffalo.

I don't get much mounted...I'd rather save the $$ for hunting. I have had a few done in RSA one time cuz it seemed cheap. After shipping it was still cheaper than at home but I doubt I'd do it again.

Receiving raw trophies or taxidermy is not hard to do at all. If you ever end up in the situation PM me and I'll tell you what the steps are.

Large eland. My PH and tracker tracked this bull through knee high grass and sand for over a mile. It was a very impressive job of tracking. I thought we were just wasting time, until we bumped the herd. This guy had his head down, so we had to wait until he looked up to see what the commotion was to see if he was worth shooting

I've travelled to 30+ countries and I am planning a trip to South Africa, but have no desire whatsoever to whack and stack animals on a guided hunt... I thought about maybe hunting one with my bow. Not near the season as Bigbore's world tour but can't complain. Was an active participant in harvesting 2 grizz, one blackie, 2 Stones and one goat. Very much enjoyed seeing others have success and to share the memories! :-D Had some of my best lake fishing ever on the fall grizz hunt . . . almost as enjoyable as the bear hunting itself!

Srupp said it very well. I have had the opertunity to hunt with BB14 a few times now and it is always fun to get out there with him.

He lives the moto of "Work hard, Play hard" and has 100% respect from me.

i tried but for some reason it wont work for me?

When you go to your picture, copy the IMG code, the last one of the 4 codes that drop down from each picture. So right click on the IMG code, hit copy, then got to your post and right click where you want to put the picture and hit paste. Just make sure you post the picts on top of each other and not side by side.

Ya i never really wrote up a big story on these moose. But it was a trip of a life time. we got a last minute resident guided hunt with Indian River Ranch. First class outfitter. I had a grizz draw too. We saw 11 grizz that trip but all were sows and cubs. Best trip I have ever had.

No big game for me this year and the way things are going probably won't get any predators down either. I been workin like crazy trying to make up for the slow year 2009 was. Still had a fun season though pretty relaxed. Bird hunting was what got me into hunting and I haven't done much for quite awhile so this year I did a bit of straight bird outings. wasn't nearly as productive without a dog but had fun.

Its the Mcleoud River that runs outside of Hinton, this spot is a little ways out of town. If you hike it there are some nice fish in the pools. Its a beautiful river in the summer, I just wear shoes and shorts and wade in. If your ever up this way for some reason let me know!

slow year for me............but i did dump a hammer 17inch wide 2pt that i couldnt get a shot at for 2 years. Finaly caught him sleepin on the job at the end of the rut. 155lbs for an island deer is pretty big
