Haven't seen many November Moose draw reports. Is this tag as hard to fill as it seems? How did ya do in finding bulls at this time of year?

Found one big boy, wouldn't stand still long enough for a shot, none other seen, not much time in the bush though. Other priorities.

We had a draw in the Kamloops area and we saw a few bulls...in the thick crap of course and with that horribly crunchy snow we weren't able to get an animal unfortunately. We hunted it pretty hard and even still were not successful. The hunt is doable, as the moose are feeding hard on what they can to recover from the rut, and therefore you can target them, but you need to weather to cooperate to 'condense' their feeding grounds down a bit, and this year that didn't happen. We did see, and I am not BSing at all 34 cow/calf total during that time...just bad luck we couldn't grow antlers on any of them no matter how hard we tried.

I have actually heard of 6 guys now (including you) that filled their moose draws in November region 5...Wonder why that might be  Unfortunately the long haired colonel limits me to one 10 day trip a year which we usually use for elk so a moose draw out of the area is out of the question. That's great to hear though for sure...at least it's not all someone's 'client' who is shooting all moose the up there.

Know of 3 bulls taken in R3, all in 3-26. 2 were from the same group, shot on seperate days, 50 feet from each other.

nope, 18 days ....
buddies quad ( yamaha ) calved 36 km from truck on last day , that's how our luck went. And yes , the Polaris dragged that sorry ass yamaha back. Not as happy as I would have been dragging a moose but I must admit I did have a smile on my face

2 different draws with our groups, and talked to 2 other groups that had 3 -19 A & B and only 1 bull taken out of a potential 10! I personally seen just over 30 cows and calfs, but not a single bull. Hunted hard, seen females every time, but like a previous post said, weather and crunchy snow conditions didn't help too much. Sure did see a lot of cows harvested by natives though!

We had 1 cow/calf and 2 bull draws in 3-31B and didn't get a shot away. Some friends had a shared hunt in there and they got diddly also.

We hunted hard as did our friends.

My old man had a draw in 8-05 (right across the hwy from 3-13) and I saw 2 moose, but not thier heads. It was in thick bush and we scared them into even thicker bush.

He was out a combined total of 7 days with me and another 7 days on his own or with my unlce. So 14 days and I was the only one to see anything.

No moose in our freezer :(

My wife and I had one in 3-30a but limited time to hunt. We had snow so were able to chase some around, but they didn't leave the thick bush and never showed themselves. I think if we had more time we could have connected. Fun none the less.
We drove in one morning and then drove out 3 hours later and there was a gut pile and head minus antlers, so someone got lucky that day.

I had a group hunt for 3-12B November draw. Utter failure for me. Spent 15 days hunting hard, and still nothing. I did tag out on deer while looking for the moose though. A friend got his moose in 3-20, and we watched the natives skinning out 6 cow/calfs, as well as 8 does in their camp.

success rate's always extremely low in November hunts, that's why the odds are generally lower. Home range dwindles right down to a patch about the size of a good clump of willows.

Yup ... 3-18 Bull LEH. Put your time in and you'll get it done
I shot mine @ 3:30 pm, November 13th in an ugly snow storm. At 150 yds out, he just appeared out of nowhere. I had been sitting for an hour, was cold, miserable and thinking of heading back to camp. Like I said - put in your time, get out of your truck! ... know your area ........ and be patient.
Ended up with 354 lbs of VERY tasty meat (including 80 lbs of AMAZING sausage).
