So my brother in-law and I head out today for a day trip in region 2. We check out some slashes and walk some old skidder roads but see no deer. Around lunch time, we are further into the area, and on an old narrow road just below the snow line. We get out of the truck to go for a walk. I put on my jacket and pack and look up the road. After a couple seconds of "WTF".....I'm going "you gotta see this" to my bro inlaw who was behind my truck. This guy came right in to about 20 yards in front of my truck. After an "uh oh" moment, he turned and ran up the road. Somehow.........

Most likely moving to a mineral lick.

So there is potential for Fisherdude to harvest a goat while road hunting.
Probably even his territory.

Saw it happen near trout lake about 13 or 14 years ago. Billy right in the middle of the road and a couple of guys driving it with a tag. Couldn't believe my eyes.

Think about all the places goats live.....and then think about how they got there:confused:. Lots of wandering must have occurred.

Had the same thing happen about 5 years ago, was driving down out of a valley at about 3pm and saw a young billy wandering up the road. Wasnt overly suprised as about 2k down the road is a mineral lick right beside the FSR that almost always has goats in it, mostly nannys and young billys and I think he was just breaking away from the group looking for his own domain :)

I ran a nanny and a kid down the road last year, real low down in the timber.
