Well the wifey is happy to say the least that hunting season for me has come to an end for 2009.Been a great year with going to the NWT and guiding to a couple nice moose and a caribou, then getting home to check the trail cams for deer season.First big buck to show up was this muley

I sat five different times in the tree stand for a total of 20 hours and never did see him. Just passed through the one time never to be seen again:(.This wasn't my main spot so was using a portable stand and managed to freeze my but off each time out.At my main spot I had some good activity with lots of future bucks coming in. There were three that stood out, one a perfect 5x5 in the 145 class(looking forward to seeing how he grows for next year) this one a 7x5

Hopefully he gets the extra point on his right for next season. The last of the tree was this nice 5x5 with a drop tine

I figured him to be in the 150 class before the drop tine.I had one other old buck coming in that I had planned to take if the oppurtunity presented it self But in 5 times in the stand, 3 of which were all dayers he didn't show. On the second to last day, and prepped to sit again all day, this guy showed up after only sitting for an hour. I decided to take him as getting an animal first thing is certanly alot easier to deal with:-D. He ended up being bigger than I thought with a 160 main frame(close to 40" of mass measurments)20.5" inside spread and 7 inches on the drop. Can't wait to get him on the wall:-D

All in all it has been a great season:mrgreen:
