Well we decided to fill my sons leh doe tag today. This is his second deer from region 5.He got a 2 point opening day of any buck season as well. I have passed a few smaller bucks but no luck with the elusive 4 point. Its been fun hunting and being in the outdoors together. In his first hunting season.

Well done! That is what hunting is (should) be all about!
We need more posts like this, and less whining from the meat hunters about how they are having a hard time stocking the freezer and how they are going hungry this winter .....

here is a better pic of the bull and cow moose that decided they wanted to be part of the action.we were watching a doe when i spotted the bull on the other side of the cut.we turned our attention to him and the cow he had with him and watched them for a few minutes. then low and behold three more deer pop out from behind one of the slash piles.two little bucks and a doe just the chance we need to get the boy his first deer. get him set up boom deer humps up and takes off looks like a good hit. damn moose still standing there watching.we walk up to where the deer was standing and find a good blood trail and the deer near by.couple high fives and congrats to the boy.we drag the deer up the hill and wouldnt ya know it damn moose still standing there watching us.i tell the kid we got to get a pic of this cause no one wouhttp://www.huntingbc.ca/photos/data/500/medium/SDC10847.JPG (http://www.huntingbc.ca/photos/showphoto.php?photo=15500&size=big&cat=500&ppuser=10761)ld believe this story.well we managed to get a pic with the two stupid buggers in the back ground. a day grampa dad and the boy will never forget.
