OK, drive to your nearest Safeway, Extra Foods, Superstore, Save On Foods, Thrifty Foods, IGA or Price Mart. Go to meat section and fill cart with animal flesh. Pay cashier and drive home. Put meat in freezer. Repeat as necessary.

There's lots of threads asking the self same question, you'll need to get out and work the bush. Nothing in life worth having comes that easy.

Get out there, share some experiences and good things will happen.

Hi, and welcome to HBC. The rules state that you MUST present a joke first! and it better be agood one.

I am not familiar with any of the places you mentioned but......if they contain dirt, rocks, trees, mountains, hills, rivers, vallies, lakes, grass and deer shiit here and there, your on the right track. Go get er done and post a pic or two when you get back. The bloodier the better:-D

Cheers

As you can see, generally people here will not flat out tell you where to go to get an animal. Nothing specific anyway. That is a privilege that is earned the hard way. People here will be very forth coming on answering all the many questions that come up for you when you are trying to earn your buck. So as the old proverb goes, generally these hunters won't give you a fish, but they will teach you how to fish.

I am a new hunter too and depending where you are, its tough as hell at first. But you live and learn and things start coming together slowly.

What you got to do is get a back roads map book look at it and decide a place to hunt thats what I do in order to find new hunting places ,good luck.

welcome to the site!

i'd say any of those area's you mentioned should produce good deer. I've noticed anywhere you go within an hour or two from kamloops seems to have high populations of deer. just get out, do some hikes, and keep your head up.

That is funny.:-D
I think for your first post your asking a little to much.Your gonna have to show a little effort on your part, get some mud on the truck and wear out a pair of boots. Most people on this site are willing to help others out but you have to show that your willing to do some work and put in some effort before people will point you in the right direction with the kind of info your asking for.Good luck

I just took my first deer yesterday. I hiked, fell, drove, ran, fell some more, drove some more, hiked some more and researched my area until I was pulling my hair out. Then all of a sudden I started to see what was happening around me and kept at it. I eventually got er done!

The moral of the story........Hard work pays off!

I hunted in a region near Kamloops for a few years. The first year I think we saw 3 or 4 bucks, did not take any. The next year I got my first Mule, Saw 4 bucks in one day, and numerous throughout the season. This Year we see around 10 bucks a day, sometimes more, sometimes less, There are rarely days where we dont see 4 points or better. Take your time, learn the ropes, you'll get him! Good Luck

First POST!!!!!

Everywhere you mentioned has deer, more whities in prichard and duck than anywhere else mentioned, but they are flighty. Don't go for a monster mulie, take the first 1 you see. Where ever you go, go early, walk up, and don't come back till dark. If you don't walk you will get nothing. There are lots of people hunting the areas mentioned above, but most don't get out of the truck.
