So i've been out quite a bit this year in both region 5 and region 3. The last few days in region 5 before the season closed i didnt see a thing anywhere so i went down to kamloops area and hunted hard for about a week and a half, went everywhere, then stuck mainly around savona, where i saw deer everywhere. most bucks i've ever seen in a year except that none were legal. saw one nice 3x2, a big 3x3 and another one i think was a 3 point and the rest were all spikes and 2 points. Probably saw around 15 bucks in total. i found a small 4 point skull and a few nice sheds but couldnt find any big legal bucks so i decided to go back home to 100 mile and hunt region 5 again since it re opened. i went out on the 26th to my usual spot and didnt see a thing, not much sign either but i knew there had to be some bucks around since my dad and i have been able to find big bucks in our area every year. so yesterday i went and put some scent out and waited in the morning for a couple hours and not a thing, so i decided to go for a walk to where i shot my big buck last year. on my way in i saw a little 2 point jusmp across the little open so i figured there might be some more deer around. i walked in about 100 yrds off the open and found a spot to sit in the thicker timber where it looked like there were some tracks in the frost. it was only about 50 yrds away from where i shot my 5x4 last year as well. i decided that i would just sit until dark and hope that something would walk through. then after about 2 and a half hours of sitting i finally saw a doe as far as i could see through the trees( about 50-60 yrds). i saw movement of another deer behind her so up went my rifle and i could tell it was a buck! with his head down, all i could see were his back forks and thought crap he's just a big 2 point. then when he lifter his head all i saw was the big 3 point on one side and thought $&!% he's another big 3x3. but just before he got out of sight he turned his head just enough that i saw the 4th point and BANG! He only went about 30 yards and dropped. the pressure was finally off!
He's a 4x3 and is 24 inches wide. The frame of his rack is bigger than the 5x4 i got in the same spot as last year but the buck last year weighed a little bit more at the butcher. Now i might take my dad back to region 3 and see if we can find another one!

yah the skull in my avatar i was walking into an open area and out about 40 ft or so i saw what i thought were weird sticks sticking out of the mud so i put my scope on it and saw it was a rack. then i was amazed when i pulled it out of the mud, couldnt believe it, and all my life hunting in that area and i have never seen a buck like that. i got it scored, not officially but the guy came out with 193" and it grossed about 208"
