Ticks removed on my dog.

Hello, My Springer picked up some Ticks last week? I removed them all and wiped the areas down with rubbing alcohol. I thought I removed them all with the heads attached. Now she has a red bump in one spot. Will this heal on its own or should I take her to the Vet?

Well it does leave a cut of small puncher wound. So if it doesnt look like it is healing or is looking infected I would take her to the Vet and just make sure everything is OK.

The cut healed fine there is now a bump under skin the size of a pea?

well if you are concerned I would just her in to be 100% safe. Ticks are pretty common for hunting dogs and dogs out having fun.

I went through this 2wks ago. The bump goes away. Make sure you disinfect the area really well.

You might want to save any ticks you remove and send them to Disease Control people in Vancouver for testing. Lyme disease is here in BC. What effect it has on dogs I don't know. For people it's not nice at all.
