So has anybody been out bringing in the best fighting fish of this time of year? I would like to get out and give them a go in the next few weeks, hopefully the crop is plentiful.

I think theirs a bit too much water coming down right now for any type of fishing on the chedder.
That said Ive seen and caught steelhead on the chehalis this time of year.
The are around - you just have to look harder....

Fly fishing is both a curse and a pleasure - when you first begin - you struggle your arse off and curse quite a lot, when you get the feel and things fall into place you start to curse again - this time for spending all the time and money - pursuing the sport of kings........
For me - the pleasure is in teaching someone else the art......
And then you get to salt water....
The final frontier....
now that there is a nice coho!
i have to admit you are right. The best thing is watching you family/friend catch a nice fish for the first time on a fly!
i still think that's a nice rainbow though :)

Nah, I was brought up on a game farm in SA, my Grandfather lived the dream as did my Dad, now my Brother raises his boys there and I wander around the world - The price you pay being second born in a traditional family - trust me I'm not bitchin.
I cant wait to get my grubby paws on my pal (they told me yesterday it will be posted today) - then armed with bow and rifle I intend to hunt BC. Hopefully my boys get to build up a trophy collection over here, that they can hand on to their sons when the time comes.
Thanks for the compliment by the way.
good luck with your indevors here in BC!

We should put a little group together and get out there and do a little fishing. Chehalis or Vedder or ?? Lets make it happen.

Absolutely, it would be great - but I have a deer tag that needs cutting - you guys are all tagged out - hang in there, as soon as the hunting season is over - or I have cut the tag - steel-head are next on the list as are winter salmon.

I agree - BC steel-head must be protected - when you get a fish of that quality in....... outside of BC you clonk it and mount it.
