Spring Grizz

Anyone else put in for a Spring Grizzly hunt? I've been itchin' to go look for a Grizz with my 45/70! :biggrin:

You don't want to hunt them poor little long claws and besides, it makes it harder for me to get a draw:mad: :mrgreen: . My .338 is jumping up and down in the safe in anticipation. I hope Feb. 20 has good news.

Its stupid that they have so many draws for 4-27 and only 1 draw for 4-30:evil: . Someones gotta give there head a shake on that one:roll:

I know what you mean I would rather hunt grizz in 4-18 and get one of the buggers that harrass us in the summer but the odds are so high for that one draw its not really worth it. I have a brother in the east kootenays might give it a try next year if I miss out again this year.

Luckily the guy who makes those decisions is retiring this year. However his replacement could end up being a dud too, who knows. The devil you know vs the devil you don't.

I think for Region 4 it should be tag good for spring and fall. Maybe less elk hunters would be grizz poo if the *******s were being hunted in the fall too.

I was hunting mulies in knee deep snow this year and there were 3 separate sets of grizz tracks in one area. Only saw one of them though, be nice to have a tag for times like that.
