I am thinking of going in search of black bear in 3-13; but thought with the early snow fall they may be hibernating.. anyone see any around or have thoughts on the matter ??

Your on fire now,1st buck just the other day and now pursuit of a bear.
It may still be possible, return for pursuit of another buck(mulie) and carry a bear tag.

I was following a big set of black bear tracks along an old mining trail just outside of Nelson a few days ago. Not sure what they'd be eating with all the snow on the ground. Maybe sneeking into town at night for the remnant apples and walnuts.

Maybe try calling them in for a last meal? Who knows, you might get a bob or a lyxn if not a bear?

Hunted 3-13 the last week of any buck and didn't see any fresh bear sign. Some very old droppings but that was it. We were just west of Larson Hill.
