Depression Sets In...tagged Out Today

Well.....a pretty stinging hangover woke me at 430am...dressed for ' DEER WAR' again and forced myself out the door.....( the 'other' warriors were apperantly TOO drunk to go out today:confused::tongue:
I 'retraced' our steps from yesterday to find not much fresh sign..apperantly the death of THE big boy from yesterday didnt make a good impression on ' my herd'..lol.....
Anyway...very mild today , the deer are heading UP..and UP&UP...combined with a 'sting' in the head made for some questioning of my sanity!!:-?.....cliff climbing upon cliff climbing , I finally cut some fresh tracks and one set of big blocky track....3 hrs into it and trying to see through fog/timber I spotted my first deer looking down on me from maybe 60yrds at a 45 degree angle straight up..doe...look all around here , here's this BIG bodied buck with a nice mature frame on him broadside on the edge of the cliff looking down on me...he was for sure as good as he was gonna get and probably needed to be shot out of the herd!!...genetics werent that great for what IS great in the hole but he was pretty large and would probably win some fights this fall and spread it around some more...so I decided to take him!!!!...really though , what a frikkin hoot..too much fun!!!:mrgreen:...Mr. ' 160's ' will get to breed for another fall...maybe catch up with him next fall and hopefully he leaves his horns out in the open this winter so I can find them in the spring:cool::cool:.

I have NO complaints and have had a great fall!!!....also just landed a HUGE contract and have to get my life back in order and get this damned 'blacktail addiction' back in control!!!...lolol....it makes me do lots of irresponsible ' skipping on work' wich is about to nip me in the ass!!!':lol:...enjoy the pics and good luck to you b- tail chasin nuts!!!!!!

He was up on the rock lip to the top right of the frame...it doesnt look steep in the shot , but its almost straight up..you can see the tumble trail in the snow above him:eek:
