The only way it can be classy is if the gun was made in Germany or anywhere in Europe. On a serious note I like the sx3 but even the sx3 is no Berretta! Hey Fowl!

you are absolutely correct that the sx3 is no beretta,i guess i will have to deal with the fact that the sx3 is 1000.00 cheaper and it will kill just as far and proven 3300 rounds before cleaning but not as classy...my question to you is i guess you want to hunt snows in chilliwack,as its far classier then ladner....fowl

I picked out one - it said "No price available for your country" I'm guessing my left arm, right leg, firstborn son, plus tax and duties. Nice stick though.

Pretty close. I think it's a thousand dollars per wood grade or something crazy, let alone the rest of the sucker.

So my original $40 -45k estimate was probably close, since I picked grade 11 wood with the "nicest" engraving :-D. My savage looks better and better all the time:wink:

nothing is wrong with the sx3.
I just got one last month.

defining "classy" is all about relativity. if you drive an old truck and have only shot 870's than the sx3 is a very classy gun in my opinion.
you want something with more class???? Get the wood stock.....

cant be offended about classy or not, that gets into personal style.
63 split vette is classy but a z06 a way better car.
i have a Grulla 20ga sxs it defines class for me. But i'd love to own a beretta. But to me the beretta would not be classy, it would be well.. quality

My buddy from work shoots skeet/clays with a Weatherby O/U. It is absolutely gorgeous, and is always admired by the (mostly European, which I figure counts for something) crowd at the range. I had the pleasure of shooting it, and the balance/swing with the thing is amazing. I think it set him back about $2,500 a few years ago, which isn't bad for a nice O/U.

I have shot "classy" guns when I still lived in Europe. There it is almost common for hunters to shoot guns that cost more than a truck does here. Guns are very much a status symbol for European hunters. While it may be "cool" to own or shoot such a gun I have never seen, read or heard that a $30,000 + gun kills a duck deader than a $ 500 Mossberg.

To each his own of course but I don't think the ducks care.:-D

If you don't have class personally, you can never own a "classy" gun.

Only an expensive one.

The only guys who worry about wether there gun is classy or not surely do not spend any time in the marsh! To me my 40 year old auto 5 has more character then any $2500 italian piece. Class aint defined by the number of brown ones in your wallet!

class and character are totally different
and class is not defined by the amount of brown ones in your wallet.
just by the amount you spent on your spanish sxs :)
