Yup, that's a big un. Congrats to the hunter.

As for typical record, I think that the dropper and the side to side deductions might just keep that buck out of the #1 spot, but with a deer like that, who gives a f***.

Needs 20" of junk to be scored as a non-typical, so I don't think the 202 is a non-typical score, but may be the gross typical score.

Sounds like dedicated hunters?. I wonder if Big Buck Mag heard of this?. It would be nice to see a real Cranker from BC in the Mag instead of US deer.

This buck has been killed in several U.S. states and Canadian Provinces. It has been hailed as the the "new world record", "state record" and "province record". All rumors, just like the one who claims that this deer has been killed in a high fence operation.

Still it's a very nice deer and I hope the hunter is happy with it. I would be.:-D

By this comment I don't think this is another one of those "it was shot here....it was shot there" emails......at least at this stage.:-?

The cape could very well be at the tanners.

It say's, Vanderhoof 190 gross on the e-mail. That's Mr. Bartell's area. It would be nice to hear a bit more of the story! But, he may be selling the story to a big Magazine, who knows.

I heard it was shot in Clearwater, and that's the Jellman holding it, although he'd never admit to his new-found fame.

The current #1 typical whitey for BC IS classified as a pick-up....1994 Chetwynd 191 4/8".

Biggest hunter killed typ whitey buck is 185 4/8".

I have heard of some shananigans on some other of the top typical bucks....where one originally had a kicker(which would have been a deduction) and showed up at scoring time without it:-?.

Purely rumour, nothing more to it than that. They don't exist in BC.... You only see them on a food plot on some deer ranch in Kansas on Wild TV, aka the hunter porn channel...

I guess we will have to wait and see after the drying period has passed ,if it is true it will be entered in the b&c book very soon..

You can all stop guessing where it was shot, Can/US, whether it was farmed, poached etc..

Mr. Bartell is correct in his posts...local buck (Vanderhoof) shot by local guys and it's a HOG! No rumours...FACT!

Some beasties running around Pouce Coupe,I have an almost perfect 4 point whitie from there ,scores 152,assloads of mass and real wide and high,4/8th`s deduction. He had a body like a horse too.

I heard this buck was called "Whalley" an lived up in the peace. "Whalley" had apperantly killed three humans in a fit of rage, two of which being the parents of the gentleman in the picture. He swore on his parents grave that he would avenge thier deaths and thusly killed the blood thirsty WT with his old mans revolver. Revenge is sweet and I hope his parents RIP.
