I used the map of zone A they sent me and carefully transposed it onto GOOGLE EARTH using the trail marker tool. The southern boundary follows the Cypress Cr Rd from the highway untill it swings north west, from that point it follows Cypress cr itself for about 30Km and then follows another drainage almost due north for about 5KM and then follows the hight of land west. It goes back west untill the end of the Halfway River catchment area.

If you are a little bit computer savvy try this site

http://webmaps.gov.bc.ca/imfx/imf.jsp?site=imapbc

You can turn on a layer for the Bison Zone and print off maps much better then the ones supplied to you. PM me if you need help, the program takes a little bit to get used to.

I am heading up to Zone A tomorrow for a prehunt scout, will likely know alot more about the area after that.

When is your draw?

Dec 1st I have used Imaps. I have not been able to add mining, forestry roads into it yet. The maps I have printed are small for such a large area.

I don't know how well it covers that area, but how about Backroad Mapbooks for the area? You could always flip through it at your local retailers and see if it suits your needs.

to find the ranch simply go to mile 147 alaska highway (across from may' kitchen) turn left and go to the end of the road about 15 miles

Jamie I assume that is past the Ranch. Were they on snow machines or ATV? Any more snow since the last time I talked to you? Where is the closet gas station from pink Mountain? I heard they don't have fuel at the 101. Thanks Bill

ya two more groups have left with there bison and that brings the count up to 4 and think there has been about 9 or 10 taken so far. and still have two groups hunting staying with us and 2 tags canceled from the island so the odds are looking good.

The Backroad Mapbook for NorthEast BC 100% SUCKS. It is absoultely useless.

Partner, When are you heading up? Our group has the same draw but we will not be going up until the 9th. We gave up on the blueberry Camp and will be staying at Jamies place. We also had a look around and gave up on ATV's, there is alot of snow around and should be more by the time our hunt rolls around.

I stored a few points on my GPS when I was up there I could try and get you some data if it would help out.

Jamie, we were thinking of Sledding past the lease on the 8.8 rd off of the Genesis rd, it looks like this might be a good area, what do ya think?

We are heading up for the 1st. All these problems with where a person can stay is crazy. I suppose coming out to get fuel at Mae's would be a good enough reason to stay at the PMM. Looks like this pineapple express is sending more snow north. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

Unless your ATV has tracks and as long as the weather stays the way it is.

ya anything off the trails or roads a sled with a toboggan attached would be the best for getting the bison quarters to the pick-up. another trick is crazy carpets re-enforced will work to. cheers Jamie
