Reg 8 Whitey

I only managed a short 4 dayer to our annual whitetail camp. Its a very cool family event (this is year 28 for the founders of trip and my 15th year in a row, which started when I was 14). The first two days consisted of seeing a few bucks, but no shots taken. On day 3, I managed this guy (4 pt with 2 extras on the left brow) in a thick swampy area. With a few grunts, he committed himself to step in front of the 7mm. I was exited to get him in the time I had. The camp also hooked up on 2 other bucks that night (a perfect 4 pt and a 4X3 (will have pics when they return to island)). We have taken some great bucks in that spot over the years and I suspect there may be a few more to come in the next few days.

Nice Buck!

I was up in Region 8 and I wanted to shoot a White Tail... too bad I left the gun in the truck. I missed (being able to take a shot) on a 5x5 white tail perfectly symetrical... rather I got to watch him walk away:(. We were hunting for a Moose LEH and we were checking Moose sign when that deer showed face...
