This deer got a 152 when I scored him. It was my first attempt at scoring so I maybe a little off. His main beam is quite curved inward.

Nice muley. Sounds like the pack out might have been not to good, but still sounds like a blast.

how did you get him out?quartered and back boards?[90 yards DOWN is 90 yards back UP!I shot a nice coastal blacktail like that-and it took me and my boys a good 2 hours just to get him back to where I shot him from-and he was about HALF that size!

Congrats again Dave on a well deserved buck. This was easily one of the best hunts of my life despite coming home empty handed. I am so pleased that that spot worked out for you. Chasing that four point I was after was fun but no where near as cool as packing that heavy dear of yours out of the woods and up to the cut block. This will be a hunt to remember for years to come. Cheers.

that's a beauty buck for sure .... but I have a question.

I'm a self-admitted newbie .... Is this not a muley-whitey hybrid??

another good lesson learned, always bring a pack board cause you don't know where they'll end up, a bone saw or hatchet too. Buddy and I carried him in 6 peices over 4 trips and slung a game bag over the shoulder, not pretty but it worked for several kms of luggin.

I thought so too but upon closer inspection his color and ears seem mule to me. Maybe the and smaller branch between G2/G3 compared to the larger F/G4 make it look that way.

Well I attempted my first Mule european mount.. maybe I'll add a small date label at the front of the plaque so I won't confuse it with all the others I hope to get over the years:-D
