Moose down

Well after a lot of seeing nothing I finally got on my leh bull moose for region 8-8. I have hunted all over the region and only seen a few cows so today I figured I woulg go up high as I've not seen much lower and at 645 am I was fortunate to get this beautiful bull. It was the first moose I have ever taken and I was by my self. I have never worked so hard in my life to get this animal back to my truck. Thank god for some hunters in the area later helped me put it in the truck thank you guys very much, there will be definatly some moose steaks coming your way. Shot him with my 300 win mag @ 150 yards2325

i got a 3x3 in 8-8 a week back. nice area!

and that had to be alot of work, how far was away was the truck? how long did it take to get back?

Ive been trying for my LEH 3-12 bull and have only seen cows & calves.
No horns..guess I couldn't make em horn-y ! :???:

I only have a few more chances to get out so Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Nice bull moose you got there for your first ever ,love the snow that he is laying in.

I was about 1500 ft up a clearcut from the truck, the snow was about 10" deep, you are definatly blown away by the size of these animals it was a whole new learning curve for me, I was tired as hell but it was worth every second. and yes I quarted him up and drug down with a rope
