My wife got her first big game animal this year a really nice griz. We were about 100 miles north of dease lake. I think shes hooked now when we got up to it she says '' now I can see how this could be addicting'' Great hide on it as those bears werent far from hibernating I've got it in with Ray Weins now I will post pics in 8 months when its finished.

Gorgeous, absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately now your hunting seasons will cost twice as much!

It's like buying your bride golf clubs... now it's too expensive to play every week.

Great bear, please lifesize him.

Howdy, that certainly is a beauty bear for that area, and we know she had a great instructor for this kind of hunting.
Once again beautiful animal. Later

Well it was actually pretty easy, makes up for all the hard hunts when I came home empty handed. Only had a couple days to go out we seen a ton of sign in one area, tracks of several different bears, one that was over an inch wider then the one we got. Took the ponies out one morning and got up on a high point to glass I was looking off in the distance and then noticed the bear only 400 yards away we made a quick stalk and laid down the packs for a rest as I said earlier she shot a little far back then made a perfect shot 4'' behind the shoulder and dropped him he roared and kicked for about a minute then gave up the ghost. Didnt realize how big he was till we got up to him cause he was always in the brush. Had a bear attack last year and had to kill it at 10 feet, I thought I was over my adrenaline spike every time someone said ''bear'' but when I walked up to this one I admit I was breathing pretty hard. Then we packed it back only 1.5 hrs to camp then 3 days ride back to the road them 19 hours drive home.
