I,m from Kamloops looking for a place near merrit in region 8 for the nov youth season for mulies. I have only one day left (sat) which to try and give my boy a chance at a buck. work played havoc on our weekends for any buck in october. I'm not looking for a secret spot just some where to find a meat buck to keep him interested. last year he got 2 bucks 1 in reg 3 and 1 in region 8. We went to the area he got his region 8 buck last year on nov 11 there was fresh snow and not 1 track. Any help appreciated

I don't know the area, but if I had seen a buck somewhere one year, I would feel confident in revisiting the same place again.
If it was good for deer once, it still is.

Snowed right to the valley bottom this morning. Should help locating some deer.

Careful, the one native is a winer and gets corked easily.

He said near Merritt. Closet region 8 from there is somewhere south of the Connector - 5A. Region 8-5 and 8-6. Muley migration route near Otter lake and I am sure anywhere up that area will produce.

Was is 8-5 wednesday, waste deep snow in some places, only monsters left on the mountain. Best bet is to go down to tulee if you can, if you do you should be able to get a nice 3pointer plus great gene pool.

Best of luck

Take the Duck mans advice, the snow is here early and deep. get low and don't go deep into the bush without a means to get unstuck, especially with the little guy along.

Steeleco,
I have enough stuff in the truck I could hang it in a tree beside my game plus 2 jackalls and jewlery for all tires

Good your prepared, I've seen many folks afield that aren't. Just this past Wednesday we passed a guy in 12" of snow with all season tires. No clue!!

Good to here you were able to connect the young man onto a nice deer, but I must remind you of the rules!! WE need pictures K LOL
