10 Year Old Danny's First Big Buck!

Well its been a LONG season.....at least 25 days of solid hunting for 10 year old Danny G. Its Danny's first year and after taking his core and hunter safety course hes had a serious case of the "buck fever" since September. Out we went for the first day of youth season with the open sight 30-30 shined up and ready to roll. En route to our scouted spot we new right away a good day was in store. A three by two! Peeking down at us over a rock bluff he wasnt long trotting away. Danny loaded up and was ready for the stalk. Up the hillside we went when we were frozen in our tracks by Danny's dream buck. A beauty 4 x 4. Broadside at 150. Again he made us, and before a shot was heard he was away over the top. Danny stalked up top looking for his hard earned trophy but before he could get another glimpse a beauty 2 x 2 stepped out. Three bucks, all within a couple hundred yards and Danny decided this one was a keeper. 60 Yards to the top of the knoll where the deuce presented himself with a picture perfect dream shot. WHACK! One shot one kill! Congrats Dan...its the first of many. Heres a couple pics of BC's newest certified hunter!
