hatrack

Went mule deer hunting for the first time this weekend. Shot this buck on Saturday the 7th. Found him in a patch of timber that was littered with sign. Spotted him at 60 yards with 5 does, quickly counted 4 points then bang it was all over. Although he's not a monster I couldn't be happier for my first muley. He's a 4x5 with brows. I'm definately hooked on mule deer hunting now and next time I can be a little more selective.

Great looking for a first, usually selective comes with age you have a few more years to go. Congrats on your first.

Wow! If you're going to be "selective" next time I can only imagine what you'll be posting then. That beast seems pretty darn large to me. Lots of meat there.
Nice buck.

living on the island makes mule deer hunting just that much better............seeing a 4 point on the island is a rare sight, then you go muley hunting and its rare not to see one on a trip. Its adictive...........and the country is awsome aswell. I cant wait to go

Great beginning Hatrack. Many Mule Deer seasons ahead of you, maybe even enough to put a few more mature bucks on the hook before limiting yourself too much.
