Took the wife and kids for a tour on sunday, put a nice doe down at around 8 sunday morning. Came around a corner in a field and there she was, 170 yards or so, 243 right in the neck, 95gr. hornady sst did the job nicely. This was my first big kill with the 243 other than coyotes, I must say I am really starting to like that lil gun. See a pile of deer all day, and was surprised with all the moose we seen out in the open farmland area. We seen afew elk aswell, made good on some sharptails. Stopped for lunch down by the peace river and cooked up a big pot of chilli and skinned the deer. Never really seen any shooter bucks, but I did find a good scrape line down by the river that will require a future look or 2. Posted some pics of the kids and there trophy, its always a trophy with them.
