Finally got my whitetail in the Christian Valley today. Not a big one but after 4 years of not getting one, i decided to take it. I was going to hang it and stay one extra night and leave the next morning but i didn't want to take the chance after some of the members on here were telling us about the grizzlies running around over in the Christian Valley tearing other hunters deer off their hanging poles. In some ways i feel kind of depressed my season is over but on the other hand i'm happy to get a whitetail.

I was camped about 4 kms past Damfino creek campsite on the main road. Not much snow as most of it is melting but it was trying hard to snow when i was there. It was pretty warm too compared to this weekend last year. Tons of tracks. Ran into another hunter that got a deer too but they got theirs on the Rendell creek side. I had a stove in my tent but i forgot my cot so after the snow melted in my tent, i felt every rock under my body. :-D
