Hey All,

Here's the story...Pics will go up hopefully tomorrow (my buddy has the pics)

First off, I slept in. Alarm set for 5am, snoozed till 7:30, so I saw the kids off to school. I eventually left at 9:30. I hop in the truck and go for a drive. The road was icy enough you could skate on it....thought about turning around. So I drive up the main anyway, and see a 2x2 mulie cross the road. I stop to see where he came from, take a look and then leave. I did have a destination in mind. I keep driving and arrive at "The Spot" Park the truck grab my Finnwolf and start walking. Walked and glassed stopping every 30 or so meters. For some reason i was only looking up the bank of the block and not down??? So after about a half a kilometer I looked down the bank, the first thing I see was a Mulie buck bedded down on a coulee, about 40m down, and on an angle of about 40 degrees...I can see that he is probably legal, so I put the binos on him...Yup, He's Legal. Blood Starts to pump...Could this be the day I get my first mulie? I bring up the riffle put him in the cross hairs, and give him a "Hey Deer!!" he didn't move....Give another "Hey Deer!!!" he stands...drop the cross hair a little lower on the vitals and let one go....He's still standing...WTF did I miss? He starts to walk real slow...so I let another rip...He's still walking, but even slower...I know I hit him..probably twice.. I watched him walk about 30 meters.....And CRASH...He goes down...I wait about a half hour, and try to calm down...I go to see him. He has 3 points on one side and 4 on the other with 3 countable stickers.... Now the work begins...after i see him I called a buddy of mine to give a hand...this deer ended up 70meters downhill of the skid road, and about 300 meters uphill of the main. Because of the steepness to the skid road i dragged the buck down to the main...After about 80mins of dragin this deer, he's in the back of a truck...ANd I had A beer.. I did hit him twice, took out lung and liver(oops).

SHot with A Sako Finnwolf .243. Winchester Factory ammo 100gr. both rounds recovered.
