going on the wall

was hunting a local spot this morning got up good and early walked in to a cut block that I was fairly sure had a big mullie or two in it, next to no sign anywhere, almost turned around but decided to let out a grunt (for fun) and a twig snaps......a couple more grunts and I see a MONSTER mullie in the tree line at 200 yards no clear shot, he the walked behind a knoll where I couldn't see him for 15 min (I grunted every 3-4 min) and then he shows himself at 100 yards broad side.:smile:and boom
down he goes, I walk up to him and he is just as big as the binos showed!
nontypical if you count the crazy brow tines he is a 10x11.....
7x7 without
i will not give out the exact area so don't ask but it was within a 45min drive of vernon

I've hunted that area my whole life because I know there is crankers in there. That's the 2nd big deer to come from there in the last couple weeks!

yes as I found out that area has a great gene pool!
yes that is my first deer, 2nd season hunting, I did hear of a 5x4 taken 2 days before I got mine, I'm using a guy by the name od dean tatanich in rutland he come highly recommended
