I've seen the show a few times i enjoy watching it, i like the fact that they give you a couple different ways to cook what they hunted at the end of the show.

If we had the really good shows made in the States you young fellows wouldn't be so taken with CitR. Probably the only reason the CRTC allowed it on the air is because it is made in Quebec. WildTV has been trying to get onto Canadian stations for most of 2 years and they are out of Lethbridge. Fred

I usually catch the show when I have time, some pretty good hunts on it.

I think we at HuntingBC should have our own tv show, hosted by Marc, and I will volunteer to do all the hunting! (all paid for by sponsors of course)  hehe...

Thats it Mark, keep tap dancing in the Minefield!! How would you like to send me the info on that company?
BSA, Bell ExpressVu has had permission for most of 2 years to rebroadcast TOC in it's entirity into Canada and hasn't done it because they claim there isn't enough viewer interest. I guess 10 or 15 million potential viewers isn't good enough for them. Bell and Starchoice won't even answer my emails anymore! ;-) Fred

Its on BCGlobalTV at 7:30am right before the Sunday Morning News Starchoice 336 or shaw or rogers. Watch it every sunday and have seen each show probably 2 times. Woke my daughter up to come watch the turkey hunt with his daughters.

They just need more hunts as the shows are getting old. The Muskox hunt with crossbow was a good one.

Personaly I can`t stand the show, too much B.S. and not enough hunting, and they never show the critter get hit.

As far as star choice goes I pulled my subscription, when they asked why, I told them that there wasn't enough hunting shows on it They really didn't seem to care. as far as Canada in the rough, it's a pretty good show, I especially enjoyed the NWT hunts.

I like any hunting show but I don't like the host much. Kind of a weenie.

That Saskatchewan bear hunt was stupid, you're right more hunting and less chatter would be better.
I have seen a few episodes where you get to see the animal get hit.
I only caught the last few seconds this morning, all I saw was Pigeon sitting by a downed moose

I really dont like the show. The host is a bit of a dork, to much talking, not very good camera work. Who here is ever going to hunt Musk Ox? I would like to if I had $$$$$$$$$ but for the common man like us very much out of our reach. Cariboo in Quebec is like shooting fish in a barrell pic the biggest bull u can find and shoot. I want areal hunting show for the common man that gives some tips , shows lots of the animal and the hit. As for the cooking segment all 3 mins of it wipty doo. Lots of wild game receipe books to try. I dont need some guy to show me how to prepare spices and what not , and then bbq. It just goes to show we are light yrs behind the yanks in terms of hunting shows. The reason the Satelite providers dont get on band wagon is because they are a bunch off Liberal P*ssies that dont want to offend ppl yet they can have 20 channels of pay per view porn, or " Showcase" or the 30 channels of music but we cant get one fricking channel dedicated to the sport of hunting and fishing PFFFT. That is y I cancelled mine and I told them so and they didnt even bat an eye. Ok sorry for the rant

I like the show because it's the only hunting show I can watch!!! The host is a bit of a dork but hey, you take what you can get. I liked the bear hunt where they showed the hit on that big cinnamon black. He really got rocked!! Missed yesterday's show but shooting a moose in the water? Not something you EVER want to do. Wait till he walks out or don't shoot him at all. Yuck. Messy gut job.

THe shows OK, not really any other choices! We really do live in an anti hunting country. I shot a moose in a river once, it wasnt too bad. When you wait all year, spend a week in the bush and only see one legal bull, you take what you can get. I'd do it again!
You can't hunt and watch T.V at the same time anyways!

chris the moose wasnt in the water it was standing at the edeg he shot it once and it dived in he shot it again and it wet further and shot 3 put it to rest

Has anyone ever watched the show canadian sportsman?? i have only eve seen it twice when having to wake up really early i think it was on at some ridiculos time like 4:30 and it covered a range of different topics, but hunting was the main one.One of the episodes i watched was of a guy taking his first bull Elk and boy did it ever show the hit!! BANG FLOP,after showing all of the stalk as well. The other episode i saw was of a guy doing a grouse hunt and then fishing for rainbow trout! as well as showing how to clean the birds and clean the fish,,,,,,kind of a neat show,so if your ever up at 4:30 look at KVOS and see if you can catch it.

Most US hunting shows are on hunt farms, whether they admit it or not.
If it isnt on land open to everyone, it aint hunting, just shooting.
These guys cant afford to depend on luck.
