Up bright and early Sat. morning, good South breeze perfect wind for my blind. Wrong. I get my decoys set up, set up Lucky Duck, put gear in the blind, punt covered up, coffee poured and now wait for daylight. The first light reveals 50 to 60 ducks sitting 100 yds. and further on the other side of the open area I'm hunting in the marsh. No choice now, wait and see how they fly. Half an hour and I'm moving, pick up ,reset decoys, cut some grass and get covered up in punt and start again. One minute first duck in bag, more ducks land out of range , pass on hen Mallards and so the morning went a lot of ducks just out of range or over grass [no dog]. Eventually ended with a mix of Mallards ,Gadwalls and Widgeon, all Drakes. Moving was a pain but was worth it, a 100 yds. to were they wanted to be made the day.

Sounds like a good shoot. Moving makes the difference between seeing birds and getting birds. If it's not where the birds want to be you're just wasting your time even with decoys set out. This is the main reason for picking up the MOmarshDP, getting to where the birds are and less hunters to compete against.

My punt is about 12 feet long and 8" high so I can setup pretty much wherever the duck's want to be which never seems to be where you expect. You've got to be mobile, that's what makes these punt's so perfect for waterfowling, you can dissappear just like your picture shows Marc.

If you got a spare one ot those Marc I'll take it off your hands:lol:

Nice looking piece of kit way more then I can spend on a punt though, the Mrs would kill me.
