This bugger just keeps getting larger, these pics don't do him justice at all. We call him Brutus, and we've been watching him for yrs now. He used to have a couple cows with him, but they've gone the way of the Dodo. Brutus winters with the Ft Liard Herd, but Summers with us at one of our Remote Sites.

He's a toad for sure ! That hump must be 2' above his head. I couldn't even guess what that bugger would weigh.
He's obviously pretty accustomed to your presence now ?

I don't see where anybody said he was a domesticated bison...

His bloody head must weight 200 pounds!!! You'd need a chain saw at the table to cut a roast off him!!! Excellent photo's!

I finally got the Draw for 7-57 Bison after I think 15 or 16 years of trying ..... since it began any way. I used to think I always wanted a Giant bull like Brutis
BUT ......... Coming from those that have shot the big ones they advise against it because ....... even the Gravy is tough ..........

So I'm looking for a 3 to 5 year old ......... Can't wait........ Dec. 1 to 15 yehahah!

CT

Thats one hell of a Bison.

that thing is a beast.
never hunted bison but I'm thinkin' that something bigger than my .300 would be in order for that guy.

This guy is NW of Ft Nelson, he winters in the NWT, and hangs out around one of our Compressor Stations (Patry Lake) in the Summer.

Brutus was hit by a truck earlier this week. If my info is correct, he was injured badly, and ended up being put down with an arrow. Don't know much more than that at this moment.
