Had another great lesser/cackler hunt this morning. Had the chance to take some photos with my point and click camera while more were decoying right in.

And what do I see, a couple young specks. Been seeing more and more since last year. Love to hear the yoodle, and take pictures of them. Since thats all you're allowed to do. I know you guys on the Island see quite a few come through too bad someday hopefully we'll get a season when their numbers get high enough.

I don't think I've ever seen corn stubble chopped that high???

Yeah thats the standard here for corn left in the fields. Anywhere from 6"-shy of a foot. Can be a pain having to run through the stuff, or drive when it freezes and gets real hard. I guess theres no nutrients that low so guys dont bother cutting it any lower.
