I've been hitting this one area in reg 3 since last season looking for my first buck, today all my time invested paid off! My brother(endtimerwithabow) and I went up top looking for a brute we know is there, but the wind was howling something fierce so we decided to head down to some smaller sign we saw earlier. As we rounded a sharp corner, he sez DEER! Up to our right near the timberline we saw a couple of does, but no buck. Endtimer says, I'll drive, you look. Just then, BUCK!!! I chamber a 180 gr into my Ruger 30.06 and peer through my Bushnell 3200 Elite at a big 2pt about 80 yards away and down. He's on the move, so I push my brother out of the way "MOVE!" Just then this big fella turns left and gives me a shot through some small brush. BOOM. I see his front quarters drop for less than 2 seconds and he's off again. My adrenaline is jacked up so much I forget to chamber another...click...wtf? Quickly chamber another, by this time he's about 100yards down and moving swiftly... I see an opening through 2 trees and BOOM again, this time he drops like a rock. Turns out my first shot was through the neck(would have done the job, but this is some steep terrain). My second shot got him just behind the left antler.http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs069.snc3/13656_198087068083_602083083_3937481_7453178_s.jpg Havent smiled like this in a long time :-P:-P

Open a photobucket.com account (free). Upload your pictures to your photobucket account (real easy). Then copy and paste the [IMP] link here on the site. It's that easy.
