After getting some permissions to bow-hunt in the Castlegar area It only took me one day to locate the Elk. I filled my Cow/Calf draw in 2 days with a tasty calf at 40 yards. I will post the story and pictures tomorrow as its late and I just got in. I figure the calf once boned out will give me about 100 lbs of the tender meat.
