Planing a first time hunt for White Tails last week of season.
Will be seting up a wall tent. Thinking of Gable Creek Rec. site?
Is this a good choice? Good area to start Hunting from ?
Any help or sugestions would be great. Yours In White Tails

Make plans to hike in the bush, the road hunters will drive you nuts!!

You could also try the Granby Burrell Rec Site. This is the fork between the two main FSR that service that Granby River area. From here you can access the area to the North and North west of Grand Forks. I got my first WT a few weeks back in there, be prepared to get away from the roads to get them. I didnt see any deer near the roads when I was there. Good luck.

Gable ck is not the best area. I would be looking at Burrel ck. anywhere down low. You would stand a better chance at a whitey on the ck flats. try camping 6km or further up the burrel. Howe Ck on the grandby river, its a good whitey area. Used to be a cabin there, but has since been burnt. I logged for years all of those areas. Gable was known as mulie country. Pm me if you need more info..Dan
