Wow! I can't believe that big cat is that close to that doe. She is either really dense or the cat has already been on her even though it doesn't show in the pic. She may already be wounded. The cat looks to be simply following her to finish the job as neither animal is running and the cat is not looking like it is ready to launch itself on top of the doe even though it is close enough.

Was hunting 5-2 about 50 km east of Williams Lake and one of those jumped right onto the road about 50 yrds in front me and my 11 yr kid. It's head was big like a cindar block and sprang back into the bush in like 2 seconds. I told the kid you may hunt for the next 50 yrs and never see another of those. Needless to say the deer were just as rare, dont know if it was him or what but seen lots of moose bulls, cows but very few deer in the bush over there.

That is an awsome picture. I have seen a cougar up close 2 times and it makes the hairs on your neck jump up thats for sure.

One of the best pictures so far wow that deer is in big big trouble unless that cougar has lost it's teeth and claws.

Not sure if the pic is legit, but it's cool regardless.

Has been around for a while, seems to get recycled every couple of years.

Yep...seen it before...common thought is that its photoshopped..but thats what everyone seems to think about a picture that they didnt take ;)
