8 pt side of this brute was 199 7/8" , If the ither side had been as good he would have grossed close to 450".
Was taken in the 1960s in Alberta.

Do you know the story on it ?

Not implying anything but
Quite a few farmed elk there... some get out.
A guy I know used to be heavy in that business, had many bulls well over 400", usually 40-50 at any given time.
He told me he sold a 2 year old bull that scored over 300" for $110,000 one time

Wonder how he slept at night during the rut  !?

Same guy bought the provincial tag last year and shot a 410" bull though so they are out there...

Stalker, the bull had an old metal clip tag from Alberta on the antlers and was on a very old plaque when this fellow bought it. Other than that I don't know anything about this one.
I have a set of farm sheds that go around 385 that were bought from a guy in Sask for $300, will do them up for dispay one day.

It certainly looks better as a mount than on a plaque. Nice Job Ken!...

Been seeing some nice bulls, over 350, come from S AB on the AO website. Nothing but flat open country, not a tree in sight! Pretty wild sight with a big bull elk laying on the prairie!
