hello i was just wondering is it half hour before sunrise and half hour after sunset for legal hunting or one hour because can't find it in the reg's i live in kelowna bc thankyou.

Comments like that are pointless, if you don't want to answer don't, There's lots of things in the regs people ask about.

Regs say 1 hour before/after sun-up/down - which is surprising 'cause it's DARK by then in most places...

Yes. Very generous regs. I find the last 15 minutes of legal light completely useless. Sure would not have to count points then.

Here is the quote from the REGS:

10. to hunt game, except migratory game birds (see #11 below), from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise. To find out the time of sunrise and sunset, consult a local newspaper or the following website:
www.hia-iha.nrccnrc.gc.ca/sunrise_e.html

The responsibility remains with the hunter to make the determination of sunrise and sunset in the field based on existing terrain and circumstances.

thanks because i was out for a afternoon hunt 2 days ago and sunset was at 5:40 pm and so i was heading down at 6 and i saw 3 hunters just heading up.

perhaps they were going to make camp or work. Assumptions dont work well.

Also if they were going to kill things after dark, they are no longer hunters, they are poachers.
