I'm heading out tomorrow and leaving the bugle at home, was thinking of trying to cross some tracks in the snow and hunting em down!
Agree or Disagree?

Its often amazing when you can get one to bugle. They may not come stampeding in this time of year, but it can still work as a locator. I'd take it.

FWIW, my first bull was bugled in to 30 yards on Oct 17 some years ago. It was the third one we got going that morning.

Had a young 6 point bull come to cow calling 2 years ago today. Have heard bulls still bugling though at this time of year.

It won't hurt a thing if you do bugle ,if me I would still try giving some bugles ,if you don't get a response nothing lost by trying is there http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif.

I guess I'm worried I might scare them off. You are changing my mind here...:-?

Silence is a good tactic if you know the location of the elk you are hunting.

I just came back from fort st. john, bulls were still screaming on there own. They were also calling back to bugles.Saw some decent bulls but no monsters biggest was a thin 6 by 7, my buddy shot us a cow for meat and the bulls hopefully will be trophys next year. Good luck dont forget to cow call.http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif
