Good going! I went out in 3-12 and did not fill my tag... A few days left but I just had knee surgery and it's going to be tag soup for me.

And it was tuff out there, not only has the logging changed the whole area, but the weather has been crazy for most of the month! I did see three bulls, the first one jumped across the road into deep bush and never stopped, the second may have been an immature (i'm pretty sure) but i was not sure enough to shoot in heavy bush, and I jumped the third out of his bed in the middle of a snowstorm Monday afternoon in about 30 feet of visibvility. All I saw of him was one nice antler and his big ass as he went mach 3 around a thicket.

They were not moving, the snow only came late and there were so many damn cows in the area, regardless I had a good time hunting! And I am glad that I don't have to take another step in blowdowns with a torn meniscus...

Congrats to your dad! In my unit it was the lack of logging that has messed things up. Everything is greened up and the bulls seemed to be hugging the timber pretty darn hard. Only saw one bull in my unit and I screwed up on getting that bull. Was the toughest moose season I've ever experienced in the unit.

Those areas may not be useful at the moment but will become very productive in a couple years.
