What is the legal age top hunt in BC? Interested in knowing when the kids can go out and shoot something.

They can hunt at 10. They can either take the CORE and get their own license/tags.. or until 14 they can get a Jr. license and hunt on their significant adult's tags and bag limit. Once they are 14 they have to get their own license.

As Tanya said they need to be 10 years old to carry a firearm but must hunt under the supervision of a parent or guardian. The junior licence is $7.00 but any game they take is from the guardians tag. This year though in order to get more people into hunting a child 10 years or older can take and pass a CORE test can get their own licence and put in for draws. That is what I did with my 10 year old. Regards.
