That is one of two that stayed around our camp the second one is black ans silver and is bigger then the one in the pic.

I could not get a pic of the second bigger one because he always showed himself during the night time.http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon9.gif.

Nice pic Wayne. I have yet to see a Griz in that area myself, but I know there are a few around. Just never lucky enough I guess.

I saw 6 grizzles this year in the area I hunt and all where different ones I saw.

This is not the griz that came into our camp.

The bore in the pic was taken at about 50 feet out.

Nice photo of a nice bear. I hunted Region 4-20 last September and some local guy's I talked to said that they had more Griz sightings and run-ins than in previous years. Was it the same for you where you were hunting?

Thats an awesome pic Wayne. Good size boar. In our elk camp this year we had a big black bear boar hanging around. It took half my whitey, tore open someone elses cooler, rip a scabbard off a guys quad and also charge me in the dark behind our camp at 6-8' when I was dealing with a mulie my wife shot. We didn't see as many Griz as we usually do back there but alot of blacks this year.

Put in for a draw in that area and put one on the wall next to some of them huge elk antlers you got. As a added bonus there might be a few more calves around next year.

There is no draw in that particular area. So that is not an option.

And by no draws I mean the guide doesnt even get allocated a griz tag either. So there is nothing in the way of a griz season there.

I talked to the CO on why there is no LEH in this region and he said there never will be because of politic issues ,I don't understand why :???:.

I'm the area I hunt its getting worse every year ,there are more and more Grizzlies.
When there are no LEH draws the population just keeps increasing ,I don't like it I wish there was a few draws in this region http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon9.gif.

I've heard that they dump the problem bears from the East Kootenays where you hunt... guess they want the neighbors to share the fun! There have been a few aggressive bears on our mountain there.
