Can anyone tell me if there is a Vizzie Lake in 3-17 and if so how one accesses such? I may have the spelling incorrect.

No such lake gazzetted for BC. Actually, there is no lake starting with a vee in that region to my knowledge.

Ok you got me curious so i looked in the BC road & recreational atlas and it doesnt show or list any lake even close to that name.

There's a FSR that cuts off the Hwy to Hat Creek that's called the Veassy Lk. Rd. I'm also not sure of the spelling. I've hunted up there a few times and have never found the lake, mind you i've never looked to hard. Very busy place though. K

Hmm, maybe I have the name wrong but I thought that was it. Last night when we were dropping off my buddy's whitey doe at Sumas Meats we ran into some other guys bringing in two large muley bucks which made my buddy's first kill look quite small in comparison. Anyhow I was mentioning my mule deer doe tag for 3-17 and they then started telling me about some possible locations to try. I thought this was the name they had said.

There is a "Lizzie Lake" out near the Stein Valley. Not sure if it is in 3-17.

Nope, it wasn't Lizzie Lake. I'd definitely be able to remember that as it is close to my wife's name.
The muley bucks were 4 or 5 pointers and next to my budd's smaller white-tailed doe they looked huge. Actually they looked huge to me period. The guy I was talking to had actually just come back a week earlier from a trip where he'd also had a very successful moose hunt. This definitely won't be a vegetarian winter for him. :)

Hey Sapper, are you certain these guys were going to tell you honestly where they bagged their big bucks?? Just a thought.

That thought did cross my mind but they offered up the information without my asking. I'm not going to be looking for a buck though as I have a doe tag that is good from Nov. 1.
I think it must be Veasy Lake Rd. and not Vizze.

Thanks all. That clears it up. Hopefully I'll have better luck cutting this tag than my whitey doe tag.

Izman creek road is off the botanie lake road.Turn left off the hwy down into lytton go to the end of town turn left go across the bridge, there is a gas station on your right, immediately after the gas station is botanie lake road on your right. If you hit a cattle guard on botanie lake road you have gone to far, that is the start of the lytton first nation reserve.Izman road is on your left before you get to the botanie lake rec site.Anybody thinkin of headin that way should be aware that they have just finished logging in that area, and that area gets LOTS of road pressure.
