Yeah- I let them be- I was out yesterday in the pouring rain-all day. Saw 3 spikes hangin together. They were absolutely plundering this poor tree. They started to spar at one point, but after 'getting the point', I think they figured it wasn't such a good idea til they grew some forks.
I watched them for a couple of hours, hoping that a big'un would show himself, but no such luck. At one point, they all looked in one direction for a good 10 minutes-had my hopes up there-but nothin.
Near the end of the day, I came across 2 separate black bears-one fairly big and another med size just lyin around. No real desire to shoot a bear unless he decides to charge me. Guess that's why i didn't see any deer in that area.
Saw a couple of trucks out-anyone have any luck?
