anywhere up the squamish main is alright. it never hurts to cross the river on the main bridge.( on left hand side ) of squamish main fsr. which turns into elaho river forestry service area. i haven't seen to many black bears but early lite and late evening near a slow moving area of the river is a good bet. i've had most success between mile marker 39 and 43. i go on foot an explore the atv trails and rough spurs.
