Wife who started hunting again and is willing to hike the extra miles: PRICELESS!

So after a 15+ year hiatus from hunting Mrs. TC announced that she would like to take it up again. Of course being out of it that long meant that she would be in need of some gear, and as she’s ain’t my size, hand me downs weren’t going to cut it!

20 some odd years ago when we first started going out she took her CORE and hunted grouse and ducks with me, never really pursuing big game. What better way to jump back into it than a high country mule deer hunt!

We headed up to the Monashees and some of my really old haunts for 7 days over Thanksgiving and she managed to bag her first ever deer. First up was a 4X5 whitetail followed up a few days later by a spike mulie. I never dropped the hammer on anything and couldn’t be happier. I love hunting with people when they get their first animal!

I love hearing stories like yours! Way to go, Mrs. TC! The big smile on your face tells the story. I've been up in the Monashees, you never know what you'll see while travelling around up there, it's beautiful country. Should always be watchful for grizziles when gutting and carrying out game in that area....there's been some incidents. Hope you continue enjoying hunting and the outdoors.

Is that Mrs. Tuff City or Mrs. Thompson Center:D. Nice photo's and thanks for sharing. Congrats to the Mrs. big time. Great photos. I noticed she's shooting either an Encore or a Contender rifle in the first photo.

Congratulations on a very nice first WT deer ,and congrats to you for getting back into hunting http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif.

For me its seeing the other partner connect on a game animal is just as good as you not squeezing the trigger.

Johnnybear: lol hadn't thought about the TC part being linked to the rifle. It's a contender in 7-30 Waters.

My wife use to hunt with me on occasion, then the kids came along and slowed that down. Am looking forward to her coming along again. She was always a lot of fun to have along. Congrats to Mrs TC
