Im taking a new hunter to 8-12 for his white tail doe draw. I have one as well.

We were wondering if there was any area's that would be good to start at. Ive been to Taurus lake before to camp but that was it. That is the extent of our knowledge of the area. We would like to see some bucks but will settle for any meat in the freezer.
Any information on the area would be great. We will be staying in the Christion valley.

Thanks

The whole area is teeming with whitetail does...was just there last week and you could have shot 200 of them but the end of the week without even trying hard. The area up towards Mt Baldy is good for whitey's, but really if you're just concerned about meat in the freezer, any FSR in 8-12 should suit your needs. There is heavy pressure for sure so be prepared to move fast, but there is certainly no shortage of game everywhere you go.

FYI Christian Valley is 8-14.

But there are deer crawling around just about anywhere you go around here. Just lots of pressure in some areas, especially C. Valley. Get off the beaten paths and walk. Although you should not have to go far for a doe. It seems the bucks these days are the shy ones.
